Proprietor's Profile
Kittitian Monkey Bar & Seafood Restaurant is a locally owned and managed enterprise. It is owned by World famous boxer Roy Gumbs who relocated to his homeland from England in 1984, after retiring from his successful boxing carreer. His boxing career saw him taking several titles including "British & Commonwealth Championships". He later contested for the Super Middleweight Championship of the World. After reaching the pinnacle of his career, he saw the need to thrive on his other passion and St Kitts was the perfect spot for it. His passion of having a thriving business was realised in 1986, with the opening of his beach bar aptly named "Kittitian Monkey Bar". Roy's drive for excellence didn't remain simply with a beach bar, but was later expanded to include one of the best seafood restaurants currently on the island. With Roy's passion for success and excellence as his drive, look for great additions to this wonderful establishment in the near future!
